LUCY IS ABOUT TO HAVE A DAY
Lucy is asleep in her cage. She does not know it yet, but any minute now she is going
on a very big adventure through the whole house.
You can't steer her. Nobody can steer her. What you can do is pack her cage
first: a handful of snacks, a wound-up sock, a whispered insult. Whatever you give her
changes what she notices out there, and what she wants.
Then open the door, and get out of the way.
Everything she steals ends up under the couch. Everything she does ends up in her
journal. Tomorrow, she'll still be a little bit in whatever mood today left her in.
If you really must, you can squeak at her. She might come back. She might not.
This is an alpha. Rough sprites, labels that overlap, and the odd thing that makes
no sense. Some of that is a bug and some of that is Lucy. If she does something strange
enough to deserve a witness, tell us.
